Just a stroke of luck that we got here as the trees are in full bloom. Today, I fell in love with this city. Truth is, I booked a meh hotel in a meh part of the city (rookie mistake) so I was feeling meh about the city. But today changed all of that! We hired a guide to properly introduce us to Mexico City and the coolest neighborhoods. And it was ahhhmazing! In classic Beth style, I now want to move here. (Once you get out of the grittier areas, it feels very much like Buenos Aires and a little like Madrid.) Thanks Costa Rica for an amazing week! Shout out t Thanks Costa Rica for an amazing week! Shout out to my kids for indulging me on a “just the 4” of us vacation. We don’t all four get together that often anymore, but we had some great adventures, a ton of belly laughs and a few tears, and only one day when we didn’t speak to each other and everyone threatened to go home (shout out to Lyndsey for leaving her computer behind in the hotel at the volcano which required a 2-hour drive back on the windiest road in the country). 🫤 But it was a perfect week!
